KUMSN is happily and proudly sharing the recent research of Korean Women's Development Institute, sponsoredby KUMSN. It was published at a time when the Korean government is seeking a way to strengthen the responsibilities of unwed fatherwhood.
… The question is, "Are unwed fathers in Korea exempted from fulfilling the responsibilities for their children born out of wedlock under the current Korean law? And the answer is "Not at all." In accordance with the Civil Act of Korea, the unwed father of a child born out of wedlock shall be responsible for paying support for the child from the time of his/her birth till his/her becoming an adult of legal age.
