[Our Goals]
KOREAN UNWED MOTHERS SUPPORT NETWORK PRIORITES:
1. Promote the self-advocacy and the self expression of unwed mothers.
2. Provide unwed mothers with education, job training, counselling and the neccessary resources needed to make the best decisions for themselves and their babies.
3. Research the demographics, needs and experiences of unwed Korean mothers and their children to foster social change and provide a sound basis for government programs.
4. Increase the public's awareness and education about the lives and needs of unwed mothers.
5. Make efforts to ensure the equal treatment of all Koreans in the work place and at school, regardless of their family status.
6. Promote the teaching of a more thorough sexual education course in Korean schools, to ensure that all young Koreans are prepared to make thoughtful choices.
