Australia will Apologize to Moms & their children Separated by Adoption
On Tuesday, October 19, 2010, the State of Western Australia will extend a Parliamentary apology to
mothers and their children who were separated by adoption as a result of past adoption practices by
the State. The apology will take place at Parliament House in Perth, Australia at 3:00 p.m. Western
Standard Time.
It is very likely that this event will be broadcast live via the Parliament website. The broadcast link is

At 2:00 p.m. flowers will be laid in the sunken garden at Parliament House for all the children lost to
adoption. At 2:30 p.m. there will be a short speech followed by one minute's silence observed for all
the mothers in Australia and around the world who lost their children to adoption.
